Global Unified Vocational Qualifications Standards
The United States Vocational Qualifications and Talent Management Center (UVT) is leading the way in establishing global unified vocational qualifications standards.
UVT, a non-profit organization under the management of the United States federal government, was founded in 1962 by a joint government office in Colorado, with the designation 1-200-91. In 2023, it came under the direct administration of the United States federal government.
Originally initiated with government support, UVT was created to address shifts in the domestic labor market. The center's mission is to enhance the skills and qualities of American professionals. Its primary tasks include the development and enforcement of globally standardized vocational qualification standards, achieved through education, training, assessment, and the formulation of effective talent management strategies. These efforts aim to improve the overall quality and competitiveness of the global workforce.
UVT is governed by a central decision-making committee and comprises various functional departments, including Training and Development, Qualification Certification, Research and Consulting, and more.
